We are a small school of approximately 250 students. We have no pool so we travel daily to Watsonville High where they are kind enough to share their pool with us. We encourage anyone to join our team. We will teach non-swimmers to swim. Competing is optional. Hard work and daily attendance are encouraged. Swimmers must attend an average of 3 practices a week and compete at least 1 swim meet to earn their varsity letter. Although our school has approximately one tenth of the students of many teams in our league, we are competitive. We have fun, we like and respect each other. We are blessed!

Welcome to our Anzar Swim Team. I'm Larry Willis. I've been married to Viola, my wife, for 51 years. We have 4 wonderful children and 6 grandchildren ages between 12 and 23. My main job is across the street from Anzar High where we make concrete buildings. I competed in club, high school, college and masters swimming and waterpolo. I began coaching swimming in 1971 for West Valley Aquatics where I coached for several years. I coached swimming and waterpolo at Santa Cruz High in the 1990's when our 4 children attended and competed in both sports. I currently coach swimming at the Watsonville YMCA and at Anzar High School. I really enjoy seeing swimmers progress in their swimming skills and conditioning. I'm looking forward to another great season this year.
Welcome to our Anzar Swim Team. I'm Dafny Senties. I graduated from Anzar High School in 2024 and now attend college. I began swimming when I was 2 years old. I joined the Anzar High School Swim Team my Junior year at Anzar. I was selected to be a team captain my Senior year. I am a Red Cross Certified Lifeguard and have coached swimming at the Watsonville Family YMCA for the past 3-1/2 years. I have been teaching swim lessons for the City of Watsonville and managed the summer swim program for the past 2 years and this is my 2nd year coaching Anzar High School. I'm looking forward to teaching new swimmers, see how they improve a important life skill and look forward to another fun and great season.
I am Karen Aldridge and I grew up swimming in Ceres, California. I spent my summers on the recreational swim team, lifeguarding and practicing for my high school swim team. I started swimming as an adult at my local Master’s swim club in Sonora, California and have not stopped for 25 years. I began to coach the Tuolumne County Aquatics swim team at my local gym when my two young children wanted to join. I have coached both adult and children’s swim programs for 12 years. I am a teacher at Aromas Elementary School and have been teaching for 8 years. I love to see swimmers improve their skills, build strong relationships with peers and feel accomplishment at any level. I look forward to a great season and getting to know some amazing high school athletes.
